For most riders, yes. It runs the same motors, batteries and brakes as a full-size frame. The fold costs you a little weight and stiffness, not performance.
Most fold to roughly half their length, with the handlebars dropping down beside the frame. That is generally enough for a car boot, a caravan locker or a hallway cupboard.
